Kinéis, the French satellite operator and European reference in satellite AIS, announces the signing of a strategic partnership with Lloyd’s List Intelligence , the global leader in maritime data and intelligence. This new collaboration marks a key step in Kinéis’ commercial development and confirms the relevance of its satellite AIS stream, Kin’AIS, in a highly strategic and growing market. The AIS vessel tracking systems market is valued at USD 2.27 billion in 2025 and is estimated to reach USD 4.5 billion by 2035, representing a 7.11% increase*.

Through this agreement, Lloyd’s List Intelligence strengthens its maritime surveillance capabilities by integrating the Kin’AIS solution into its vessel tracking and analytics platforms. The partnership aims to offer maritime stakeholders more robust global coverage, greater data resilience, and enhanced visibility , including in the most remote or complex ocean areas.

A strong recognition of the value of the Kin’AIS stream

Just a few weeks after announcing agreements with data intelligence providers this new partnership with an international reference in maritime data confirms the quality, reliability, and operational value of Kinéis’ AIS data. In a context of major market consolidation and rising demands in surveillance, compliance, and risk management, AIS data has become a strategic asset for the entire maritime value chain: shipowners, charterers, insurers…

By relying on Kinéis connectivity, Lloyd’s List Intelligence strengthens the resilience of its data ecosystem and offers its customers broader access to actionable AIS information for decision making, risk analysis, and maritime activity monitoring on a global scale.

"To navigate the complexities of modern maritime trade, our customers require both depth of analysis and breadth of coverage. This partnership with Kinéis strengthens the foundational AIS data our customers trust for unmatched global visibility. This collaboration ensures that we continue to lead the market in the resilience and quality of our maritime intelligence data. By layering Kinéis’ satellite technology into our existing infrastructure, we are delivering a robust, multi-tier data ecosystem that guarantees comprehensive coverage, even in the world's most remote maritime regions"
said Parvin Conners, Chief Data Officer at Lloyd’s List Intelligence.

Kinéis S AIS, a key component of global maritime surveillance

Since the launch of its services in June 2025, Kinéis has been offering an S- AIS (Satellite AIS) solution designed to complement existing terrestrial infrastructures. Thanks to its constellation of nanosatellites and advanced reception technology, Kinéis enables regular and reliable collection of AIS messages both on the high seas and in dense areas.

Kin’AIS helps enhance navigational safety, maritime traffic transparency, and the ability of public and private stakeholders to monitor activities at sea, detect risky behaviour, and optimize operations.

"The partnership with Lloyd’s List Intelligence confirms the relevance and value of Kinéis’ satellite AIS stream in an increasingly strategic market. By strengthening access to reliable and resilient AIS data, including in the most complex areas, we are proud to address the new surveillance, risk management, and decision making challenges facing the sector today.”
Cécile Morel, Chief Commercial Officer of Kinéis
